Description | A good understanding of project management is essential in an academic setting, where researchers are dealing with a wide range of diverse tasks. Planning and managing days, weeks and month goes a long way in keeping academics organized and increasing their productivity. Fundamentals of project management provides a comprehensive introduction to the management of projects executed by a single person. The course will provide an overview of the theory and principles as well as how to apply these principles to a PhD project. Participants will learn simple and effective tools to define goals, structure objectives and milestones, anticipate setbacks and track their progress. As part of the course, participants will engage in hands-on activities that will guide them to draw a project plan for their current PhD project and collect feedback from the group. Additionally, they will acquire strategies to address the main challenges and risks involved in a project. Learning Outcomes: At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

She also serves as faculty for The Coaches Training Institute (CTI), the largest in-person coaching and training institute in the world. She is visiting faculty for the full-time MBA program at the Ecole des Ponts in Paris and a managing partner for the Human Centric Leaders, an international alliance of cross functional leadership and team coaching experts. |
