Develop the recipe for a successful project by increasing your project management skills, whatever situation you will need it: academic, industry, arts, etc.

Content

Introduction of project management

• System and stakeholder analysis

Definition of objectives and deliverables• Scheduling of tasks and resources
• Establishment of budget
• Risk analysis
• Team, roles and responsibilities
• Controlling of project
• Realizing a minimal solution (feasibility study)
• Discussing the importance of a high quality project visualisation (for internal use, communication, etc.)
• Problem solving
• Communication plan
• Most important topics in communication

Methods

A lot of emphasis will be put on group and role games, to explain in details the role and position of each stakeholder. Participants or group of participants will be asked to present their project of an imaginative project, be forced to adapt their argumentation to the background and interests of the stakeholders.Regular interactions among the participants will be required in order to develop together priorities, mind maps, visualizations, etc.

Requirements


No prior knowledge of project management is required, simply the willingness to interact with experts and decision makers with different backgrounds. Arts and letters PhD students are especially welcome, in order to show various views on projects.

5 years as the founder and director of IMSD Sàrl, running projets for companies and universities in Switzerland and Europe

Expenses

Participants are eligible for reimbursement of incurred travel expenses by train between the city of their university and the location of the workshop (half-fare card, 2nd class). A reimbursement form will be supplied to all registered participants for this workshop.
