Description |
Interdisciplinary teamwork is becoming a key concept for science and research in the 21st century. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are also indispensable for success in a competitive business environment. In addition to accelerating productivity and the strength to innovate within collaborative groups, good teamwork also increases the motivation and self-esteem of all team members.
This workshop will provide participants with a basic understanding of teambuilding and teamwork principles, as well as the skills needed for efficient teamwork and collaboration, including how to positively influence others. Participants will discuss the strategies for improving teamwork, and will be introduced to techniques of creative problem solving and conflict management in teams. Finally, participants will receive assignments and guidelines how to work on developing teamwork and influencing skills in their working environment. Their progress will be mentored during the two months after the workshop, which will end with a skype 1-on-1 meeting.

Pedagogical and logistical aspects During the workshop the trainer will utilize short instructions, simulation (games), discussion and feedback sessions, as well as self-reflection sessions to encourage learning and topic understanding. Mentoring of participants and their skills development will be provided to all participants after the workshop. At the end of the workshop all participants will receive the attendance certificate from CUSO. In a non-obligatory, post-workshop phase, and after completion of all 4 assignments and the end mentoring session the instructor will send participants an additional certificate indicating successful completion of the mentoring process and its outcomes.

Dr. Krstic combines his extensive research experience in life sciences and in-depth understanding of human resource development processes to provide fun, interactive, and informative learning experiences. |
Expenses | Participants are eligible for reimbursement of incurred travel expenses by train between the town of their university and the location of the workshop (half-fare card, 2nd class). For full-day workshops, lunch costs will be reimbursed upon presentation of original receipts (no photocopies or scans). A reimbursement form will be supplied to all registered participants for this workshop. |
