Content
Project management methods and tools that can be immediately applied in own research projects will be presented and illustrated by examples. This knowledge will be deepened during group exercises.
Requirements Participants should already have an outline of the project's content or have written a project proposal. No prior knowledge of project management is required for this workshop that can be attended at any stage of the doctoral work, to greatest advantage during the first half of the project. |

Trainer: Dr. Carine Galli Marxer, physicist, project manager and trainer, Cubisma, Münsingen Dr. Carine Galli Marxer studied Physics in Switzerland and Germany, did her Postdoc at Stanford, USA and holds postgraduate Master degrees in Project Management as well as in Teaching. She funded her own company Cubisma Ltd. During her career, Carine Galli Marxer never stopped exploring new topics in different interdisciplinary and intercultural environments. In Academia, she successfully created and managed innovative projects and set new collaborations. In the public sector she developed and led the Swiss Knowledge and Technology Transfer Initiative. She also started a successful Swiss strategic project in the field of radioprotection in medicine. Later she funded her own company to train junior and senior researchers about project management at institutions of higher education in Switzerland, Germany and USA. |
Expenses | Participants are eligible for reimbursement of incurred travel expenses by train between the town of their university and the location of the workshop (half-fare card, 2nd class). Lunch costs will be reimbursed upon presentation of original receipts. A reimbursement form will be supplied to all registered participants for this workshop. |
