Description | Young researchers often perceive the research budget as simply a file attached to a submitted proposal. This workshop will overturn this bias and focus on budgets as the core of any research project. Participants will learn how to assess research projects to determine in detail the financial needs each would entail. Subsequently participants will produce their own budget based on their own potential research project, and get practice presenting their proposed project and budget in front of the group for feedback.

Information | Date:Monday 17th February 2020 Schedule: 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Place: University of Neuchâtel Trainer: Jennifer McClung holds a PhD in psychology, a Master's degree in Psychology, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Her post-doc focused on research at the intersection of psychology and biology: as such, she has experience in both the social and natural sciences, and enjoys teaching and guiding researchers in all domains. She has written her own research proposals for both SNF and H2020 programmes, and has also accompanied researchers across domains in the submission of all types of research proposals in her role as Grants Manager at the University of Neuchâtel. |
Frais | Participants are eligible for reimbursement of incurred travel expenses by train between the city of their university and the location of the workshop (half-fare card, 2nd class). |
