| Description | This workshop invites participants who have already attended the CUSO workshop "Negotiation Skills to Advance a Successful Career in Academia and Beyond", to undertake a deep and honest self-reflection on their current negotiation practice, in order to go deeper and further in mastering negotiation techniques as well as to develop their own negotiation styles and strategies. For this purpose, participants should be ready to prepare, share and discuss within a safe environment, the issues and scenarios in which they have already implemented the learnt techniques in the mentioned workshop. This interactive session provides a safe space that supports the sharing of the often complex and sensitive challenges participants may face when negotiating from minor to critical issues in both, professional and personal spheres.

Trainer: Dr. Fernanda Salina is an international lawyer and consultant based in Geneva and her main interest is to empower and enhance the potential of individuals and organizations in the management and settlement of their conflicts and disputes. She is a former in-house lawyer with more than 25 years of international experience as a researcher, lecturer and trainer in the fields of International Law, International Negotiation and Mediation. Dr. Salina is a professional certified coach, an accredited mediator before the Swiss Chamber of Commercial Mediation (CSMC/SKWM/ SCCM) as well as the Féderation Suisse des Associations de Médiation (SDM- FSM) and holds a Ph.D. in International Studies with specialization in International Law from the Graduate Institute, Geneva. She is Ombudman at DNDi (Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative) and Mensa Switzerland. |
